Georgina Maunne….. Defender
Joined the club last season and a fine addition, her strengths are tackling
and passing. She never panics under pressure .Has settled into the team
well. A brave defender who reads the game.
Broghan Matthews……Midfielder/forward
Strikes a football as well as any other member of the squad. A quick
learner who improves with every game. Likes to shoot at every
opportunity. Strong and athletic who is now a regular member of the
team.
Danny Young...... Right midfield
New signing this season, who has fitted in comfortably, good runner with
the ball and spots an early pass. Has an eye for the goal and is not
afraid to shoot from distance. A good addition to the team.
Sarah Genders .... Midfield
New signing this season, a strong midfielder who has a good first
touch and is a good passer of the ball. Likes to link play with the
forwards and rarely gives possession away.
Lucy Hindley- Midfielder
Strong athletic midfielder who has high energy levels and two good
feet. She likes to link play up and can thread good balls into danger
areas for the forwards to feed off. A great addition to the squad.
Fran Martin- Goalkeeper
Fran has good awareness and distribution, She is a great shot stopper
and her confidence is improving with every game. Fran has brought
competition in this position and will play plenty of football this year.
Keeley Savage- Forward.
Keeley is another new signing this season and has already proved a
valuable addition to the squad with her goals. She has great aerial
control with both chest and head. She is never afraid to shoot from
distance which shows a player with plenty of confidence. Keeley is aware
of players around her and likes to bring them into play to create goal
scoring opportunities.
Claire Lowe - Defender.
Claire plays right back and when given an opportunity never lets the
team down. her strength is her pace which makes it difficult for
forwards to run past her. She is strong in the tackle and distributes
the ball down the line well.

Rachael McLeish….Defender.
Team Captain, classy player with maturity beyond her years. Has good
vision and has the ability to read the game, distributes the ball well
and is an excellent header of the ball. Leads by example. A great
captain and is respected by all team members.
Roseanne Holroyd……Defender/midfielder.
Good vision and has the ability to cut out danger before other players
see it. Has good distribution and very rarely loses possession. Has
close control which allows her time on the ball. Good co-ordination, a
well-balanced player.
Robyn Hinchcliffe….. Defender
Natural athlete, great pace and likes to run with the ball. Can also
defend and enjoys tackling. Robyn has got excellent stamina and is
always looking for the ball. Strikes ball cleanly and likes to shoot on
sight.
Rebecca Bradley.... Forward
Joined
in the New Year, Rebecca is a tireless runner, playing in the classical
strikers' position. Never selfish, holds the ball up well and provides
quality lay-offs to fellow forwards. Can score too! A welcome addition
to the team.
Olivia Smith.... Forward
New signing from Leyton Orient, strong centre forward who can hold
the ball up well and link with other players, a good eye for goal with
a powerful shot. scored 5 on City Debut and a stunning 20 yard chip
against
United.
Nicole Jones……Midfielder.
A natural ball player, very strong and has two good feet. Probably the
best striker of the ball on the team. Likes to get forward and score
goals. Has good close control. A good addition to the team.
Celeste
Gardner.....Forward
Celeste is a big strong forward with a knack of scoring good goals. Her
heading ability and braveness is the best in the squad, but she has also
scored her fair share of goals with her powerful shot. Celeste is an
intelligent player and is aware of her team mates around her and will
give a good pass to set up other players.
Gail Pennington .... Defender
Strong in the tackle and great awareness, has slotted into the left back
position and plays with authority. Reads the game well and joins the
attack down the left at every opportunity. A great addition to the team |
